Perhaps the kids would like to build a gingerbread house? Or perhaps you would like to get clicked with your family at a special studio? Eateries in the capital have lined up activities galore along with slashed menu prices and gift hampers to make Christmas merry for everyone.
Royal China restaurant has introduced an exclusive menu with a less than normal price. It not only offers an unlimited buffet with exotic dishes - soft corn curd, chicken puff, sweet and sour chicken - on display but also a chance for customers to turn photographer and click their own photos in an exclusively designed photo studio.
A meal for one starts at Rs.2,500, including alcohol.
Children might get bored at some parties, but Chef Rajesh Variyath of Radisson Blu MBD in Noida has come out with a unique concept called The Chocolate Box - available till Dec 25 - and it will allow parents to chill out while children enjoy themselves with the installation of a gingerbread house.
"The gingerbread house is a colourful wonderland, which comes alive with colourful candies, sugar icing in edible colours and bits of chocolate that can actually be bitten off," Variyath said.
"The motive behind the concept is to engage kids with some adventurous activities and let the parents get some time off to enjoy the party," he further added.
They are also offering hampers, which will have assorted goodies like handmade Swiss chocolate, chocolate fudge cookies, plum cakes, mixed nuts, Christmas cookies and a wine bottle.
No X-mas celebration is complete without carols and the place has made arrangements for the same along with Santa Claus!
The hamper is priced at Rs.2,500 onwards.
Deepti Narula, CEO of Ashoka Hotel's F Bar & Lounge, says Christmas and New Year's Day have always been one of the best business seasons and that's why they try to bring in exciting themes to attract the customers.
"Christmas has always been a special night at F Bar & Lounge. This time also we have made it an extraordinary night for our guest with Santa dancers, storytelling, visual art and body paint. We have made sure that the Christmas night becomes memorable for our guests," Narula said.
There are day events too. For instance, Aman Hotel is hosting a Christmas brunch.
"One can enjoy a lavish buffet on Christmas Day with family and friends. Chefs will present a mix of international and Indian cuisine. This will be at the poolside under the sun as this is the best time to enjoy outdoors in Delhi," said the manager.
The entry charges for brunch is Rs.3,500 per person.
While many are serving food and drinks, there are some who want to present things differently.
Harem, at the Garden of Five Senses, will present Christmas Wonderland, where one can taste exclusive cuisines with a live band.
"We have created a Santa Den where one will experience sound, storytelling and live band performance. Also, watch out for special Christmas lunch comprising glazed turkey and mulled wine," said Harem director Sammer Gogia.
Gogia is expecting good business.
"This is the first Christmas party we are organising at Harem, so we are expecting a very good footfall," he added.
Last but not the least is Kylin Premier Sky Bar.
"Christmas spirit is in the air and the party mood will only go up. Pople are happy and want to make merry with friends and family. Moreover, they are ready to pay; so we have tried to bring in a variety with gala lunches and white Christmas theme," Kylin Premier Sky Bar CEO Saurabh Khannijo said.
Opening the gates for merriment on Dec 24, the place will offer a complimentary bottle of red and white wine and chocolate- covered strawberries at an entry price for Rs.2,499 per couple.
